These wide edgings were designed originally for those sweeping skirts of the mid 1800s but today they would work on just about any modern full skirt. Of course, they would look lovely gracing the hem on fine linens…..pillowcases and sheets.
Many of these colonial women patterns were designed for pillowcases as the central motif with trailing flowers on each side of her to fill in the width. There are plenty of floral motifs on this site so be creative and add your own flair to the little lady!
