Notice how there is plethora of daisy patterns? This is the stitch you need to work the flower petals. Also used for the leaves on the stem of most flowers.
This would be cool worked on towels or the hem of a skirt. I make the rungs pretty short or the thread would catch on just about everything it came in contact with.
Ta da! You’ve reached the namesake for this site. Anytime you run across some little dots in a pattern this is the stitch to use. However, it does make a knot on top of the fabric and sometimes you may want something more subtle. I use a teeny tiny cross stitch to accomplish this.
