Classic European style garden gate with the little roof over the top. The wheelbarrow full of flowers is a nice touch too.

These are outside what is considered normal for embroidery patterns. The pipe scene was included with some Father’s Day patterns and the woman in the chair is supposed to represent “Whistler’s Mother.”

Here’s some vintage Americana embroidery patterns honoring our courageous ancestors. Old George with a hatchet and some cherries before he took them home for Martha’s famous pie. The famous seamstress, Betsy Ross, and the flag she stitched. A scene of Independence Hall as it stood on July 4, 1776.    

I believe they still have these covered bridges in some parts of the country. Maybe the one in Madison County is still standing.

The scarecrows in these embroidery patterns look pretty friendly and even the birds think so. Maybe it’s only the crows that are fooled.
