Feel free to browse all of the free embroidery patterns! The first link is a list of all of them but I’ve also listed the individual categories that are also listed in the drop-down menu in the sidebar.

I suspect the numotypes date back to the 1800s. There were no identifying markings on the patterns so I have no idea who or when they were published.

Cherie, I am longarm quilting a quilt with extremely similar embroidery blocks to your Romantic Couple Courtship Marriage designs. I am trying to figure out when those designs originally date back to…any idea?

Yes! It’s in the “words” category after clicking on “all embroidery patterns” from the front page. Here’s the direct link to the pattern you’re looking for.
Do you still have “all my love darling” and how can I get it please. Thank you

You’re most welcome! I’m happy to keep the art alive especially for those just discovering the joy of hand embroidery.

It’s been moved to “towel sets” as a subcategory of “Kitchen.” I believe this is the design you’re referring to: https://french-knots.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vb_fife.jpg
It’s part of the Vitamin Ball Series and really vintage…Superior or Walker I believe.

Just save the image to your computer and then print it out to transfer to fabric via direct trace with a pen/pencil or trace the paper image with a hot iron pencil to make a transfer (but will be reversed when you iron it to fabric) Here’s the image file: https://french-knots.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/covered_bridge.jpg
Question…Do you still have the cucumber/pickle playing the flute? It would’ve previously been in your food category. I saw it pinned on someone’s board and would love to have one for my daughter who is a professional flute player.

The bunnies are in a subcategory under “animals.” Have you seen this one with butterflies and flowers?
I’ve looked through all my scanned files and didn’t find any others. Sorry.

I believe that lamb is from Superior. Nearly all of the free patterns posted on this site never had copyright notices at publication so you are free to use them for personal use and commercially in the event you embroider garments, towels, or whatever to sell at your local fair or online (Etsy store, etc.)

Hi, I have a question about one of the lamb embroidery patterns you offer at no cost. It is the top right lamb. I’ve looked for an email but can’t find it. I believe it (most here) are quite vintage & probably have expired copyrights,. Any info you can give me would be appreciated. Feel free to email me.

Absolutely! I offer these patterns as a free service to keep the art alive and stitching them up for personal use or selling your handiwork at craft fairs keeps them going for generations to come.

Wow these are great. If I stitch your free patterns on towels, can I sell them at a local holiday craft market?
Thanks for providing these!
